Day 22 (Creative Sprint): Pass It On

Day 22: Start something, then have someone else complete it.

I started a robot picture, drawing the bottom of a robot (mostly body and legs), then passed it to my 12-year-old son to finish the drawing (he even added a shadow at the bottom). Then I asked my 8-year-old to color it and my 11-year-old to write a story about the robot. Here's the finished product:

Rocky the Robot is an adventurous robot who is always up for every challenge. He has won the Rolympics 5 times, the Super Bolt 2 times, the Robo Series 10 times, and Polobot 7 times. As you probably know, Rocky is a top athlete in all robot sports. He also likes reading books and writing books. His favorite book is “The Robot Fart Attack" by Rocky the Robot.

Was running low on time at the end of the day, but thought I'd do a quick sketch of the infamous "Hang in There" cat poster with a robot instead. Dedicated to you, Sarah.

A Robot Thanksgiving

Our fancy Thanksgiving dinner came in a box . . . a robot box! Where other people see cardboard, I see robots.

I know . . . it's a little weird.

Day 348 - Top Gun Volleyball Scene . . . with Robots

The sand volleyball scene in Top Gun has stayed with me over the years.  My impressionable, young mind quickly absorbed the imprint of shirtless Tom Cruise in all his athletic, bad-boy glory.

A customer bought a wedding gift from me and asked for a little note of congratulations to the robot-loving couple.

Day 325 - Robot Shoes

I may often feel like I don't fit in with the other moms sitting on the sidelines, but with shoes like this, who cares?  Take that, people with button-up shirts!

Day 323 - Stinky Bot

Trying to give my boys a visual for the positive effects of deodorant usage. 



Stinky Bot hasn't bothered to open his deodorant.  



Awesome Bot has opened his AND applied it.  My, what a difference!

Day 317 - Time Out

Today, The RustMaker earned himself a time out.  Oddly enough, he went and hasn't moved since. 

Boys, why can't you be more like The RustMaker?

Post 311 - Flying

I'm embarking on a trip to visit my sister.  I hate flying.  But wouldn't it be awesome to make a robot with a little jet pack on?  Hmmm . . .
