I may often feel like I don't fit in with the other moms sitting on the sidelines, but with shoes like this, who cares?  Take that, people with button-up shirts!

Day 300 - Can you believe it?!

Somehow, I've reached Day 300.  Crazy.

Day 182 - We're Halfway There (Oh, oh, Livin' on a Prayer)

I'm calling today the halfway mark for my 365 project.  Woo-hoo!

Honestly, I'm surprised I've stuck with it.  Maybe I'm turning over a new leaf!

. . . Although, The Sketchbook Project required the sketchbooks to be postmarked by today, and I was frantically drawing, pasting, and spraying til the last possible moment.  Nothin' like procrastination-fueled panic.

(Sidenote: I used the drill press to make the "R" on the front!)

 

 

Day 174 - It's Raining Nuts and Bolts Out There!

I haven't quite finished this project, but here's my progress for today.  I was trying for a 3-D look with some of the nuts and bolts.  Not sure how I feel about it overall--maybe it'll be better with color?

Day 171 - Patchwork Bot

I tried to do a mixed media collage on this page of the sketchbook: cardstock, felt, colored pencils, and permanent marker.

Day 167 - Jack Bauer, You are my Hero

So it's New Year's Eve, I should probably have a really great, funny, yet inspirational--definitely memorable--post.  I don't.

There was a "24" marathon on, and I cut out magazine words while watching Jack Bauer save the world . . . over and over again.  That Jack Bauer can do anything.

Day 146 - Sketchbook Collage Finished!

Although this might not seem too impressive, it took forever because of how small I drew everything.  If I were to do it again, I'd definitely draw everything a little larger so it wouldn't take so long.

Day 137 - Finishing Touches

I've had a couple of projects I started for 365, but didn't necessarily complete during that day.  So I decided to take this opportunity to finish a couple of them as today's project.

The Finished Product:  Robot Collage of Awesomeness

Red Robot was much too boring.  Don't tell him, but I was filled with disappointment (especially after loving my original one Crash so much).  So I made some changes, added some color, gave him a cape, and made him Super BOT.  Now, I feel somewhat better.

Day 70 - Beginning "The Sketchbook Project"

I got my sketchbook a couple of days ago in the mail, so I'm officially starting The Sketchbook Project . . . in the 10 spare minutes I had in the car while waiting for my son.  This page is on its way to becoming a fantastic robot collage.  Exciting, huh?

Day 54 - Collage of Robot Awesomeness

Today, we started a large poster board collage.  Everything will be hand-drawn and colored--with the intent of eventually covering up all traces of white.
