Day 238 - Robot Life Cycle - Part 1

I asked for suggestions for Robot-a-Day and got this one from a good friend:
How about a robot metamorphosis? Like the stages of the butterfly life span, but the robot life span? 

I was going to hold off and try to present a really good drawing altogether, but here's a couple of initial sketches for the Egg Stage and the Larva Stage.
