Pre-Show Week

I'm doing one of my very few art shows this coming weekend, and my house / workshop / kids are feeling the stress.

At least I have new jewelry cards!

Miss Daisy

You don't have to drive this petite pup around, but she certainly doesn't mind if you do. As an Italian Bothound, Daisy has a sweet spirit . . . and super skinny legs.  Those adoring eyes are eclipsed only by her robot dog collar.

Rescued and reassembled for the most devoted Dog Rescuer ever, my friend Sarah.  Miss Daisy has a vintage cookie press body, typewriter hammer legs, shot glass head, vegetable steamer ears, knob nose, clock part eyes, clock spring tail, and recycled dog collar.

Meow, Meow?

As noted, cats aren't really my thing, but the response to the silly cat robot has been weirdly positive. So much so that I had to make another for someone else. Here's the two choices I came up with:

Meow.

I'm not a cat person, but I had a request.

Roxie, the Unflappable Flapper

In keeping with her "Flapper" ancestors, this little lady is a spunky one.

Roxie is a fun-lovin' bot with a love of all things colorful. Her brightly colored canister body is her pride and joy . . . next to her handmade button skirt.

She's young and pretty and--let's face it--irresistible with her big gold eyes and shakeable skirt. And just so you know, her whole body "bobbles" with a slight touch, adding even more fun to that spit-fire personality.

(Made completely from recycled materials. Stands almost 14" tall, 5 1/2" wide. Body opens for storage.)
