Day 257 - Sugar Coma

Although I've tried to tell Norman there's more to Easter than candy, I'm pretty sure he didn't hear me through the sugar coma.

Day 255 - Board Games are All the Same

Hmmm. Col. Mustard with the leadpipe in the library?

Day 253 - Used Robot Heads

Started looking at clocks and radios on the web today--a slightly out-of-control obsession of mine.  (I like to think of it as similar to Mel Gibson's compulsion to buy a copy of Catcher in the Rye whenever he passes a bookstore, as portrayed in the movie Conspiracy Theory.)

So look what I found.  A freakin' ROBOT HEAD.  I need it, don't I?

A robot is out there wandering around headless for goodness sake!!

Day 251 - The Waltz

Idea for a future project . . . all clock parts.

Day 250 - Career Choices

Norman was considering a career as a stunt double.  Despite the goggles and safety harness, he's now looking into the position of Seat Filler at local talk shows.

Day 248 - Box of Epic-Ness

An amazing package arrived today from my new best friend in Nebraska!

I already felt inspired.

Epic-ness is on the horizon . . .

Day 246 - JayBot

I was trying to draw a robotic/Steampunk Jayhawk.  It seemed like a good idea . . . until I really tried it.  I gave up after sketching the head.

Day 244 - Cup O' Bots

*I found this illustration on Pintrest and colored it while my 16-month-old threw colored pencils at me.  I can't wait for naptime.

Day 241 - Impressing the Postal Worker

When I asked for suggestions for Robot-a-Day, I got this one from my sister:
How about a picture of a letter going to your sister, with said letter containing business cards! And....put a robot on it.

Your wish is my command . . . you know, as soon as I get stamps.

(Like my professional blurring of the addresses to keep our identities a secret?  VERY high-tech.)

Day 238 - Robot Life Cycle - Part 1

I asked for suggestions for Robot-a-Day and got this one from a good friend:
How about a robot metamorphosis? Like the stages of the butterfly life span, but the robot life span?

I was going to hold off and try to present a really good drawing altogether, but here's a couple of initial sketches for the Egg Stage and the Larva Stage.

 Stage 1: The Egg Stage

 OR

  Stage 2: The Larva Stage

Obviously, still a work-in-progress.

A new robo magnet . . . with pen nib arms!

Day 232 - RoboPups

Working on a special order.  I love the spot on this robopup's eye.

Day 231 - Doodling

Low on enthusiasm during homeschooling today.  Is it bad when the teacher's doodling?

Day 230 - Top 'o the Mornin'

Still deciding on the top hat or not, thus the tape.

Day 228 - Low Rider

Norman, cruisin'. (Insert song "Low Rider" in your head . . . or aloud, I'm sure no one will mind.)

This involved Norman using his Go-Go Gadget arm to properly reach the steering wheel without disrupting his "coolness."
